A bit more about me
I was born and raised in beautiful Hobart, Tasmania, and I’ve been lucky enough to call this incredible island home my entire life. While I spent much of my twenties travelling the world and still find myself dreaming about our next big adventure, these days I’m pretty happy exploring closer to home with my family. And why wouldn’t I be? I get to live my dream every day, capturing life’s most meaningful moments.
I’m also a proud mum to two energetic, wonderfully chaotic boys who keep me constantly on my toes. They remind me daily just how quickly childhood passes and how precious every stage of life really is.
Photography has always been a passion of mine, but becoming a mum was what truly sparked something deeper. It helped me discover the kind of photographer I wanted to be. I wanted to capture the real moments, the magical ones, the little in-between moments, and the memories I knew I might one day forget. Motherhood taught me that the best photographs aren’t forced; they unfold naturally. They’re the images that transport you back to a feeling, a season of life, or a moment you never want to lose.
Alongside photography, my other lifelong passion has been dance. It has shaped the way I see the world, teaching me to appreciate movement, emotion, connection, and storytelling, all of which inspire the way I photograph families today.
I started dancing at six years old and, as a teenager, began assisting classes before eventually teaching multiple classes each week. Dance has taught me so much over the years and has been an unexpected asset in my photography career. It certainly helped me learn how to connect with children and manage a room full of busy little personalities!
What began as a love of freezing time has grown into a career I truly adore. For me, photography is about so much more than taking pictures. It’s about preserving stories, celebrating connection, and creating memories that will be treasured for generations.
I'd love the opportunity to help tell yours.
