I am so excited to be offering some very special Christmas mini sessions for 2026
It’s the perfect time to capture your family and update those yearly photos. I know Christmas themes aren’t for everyone, so again this year there are three options to cater for all styles - details below.
You can also mix and match session if you’d prefer not to go fully festive. Just keep in mind that baking sessions will be more baking-focused, though we should still be able to squeeze in a few “regular” shots too.
No matter which option you choose, the heart of your session will be the same, soaking up your love for each other, relaxing, cuddling, laughing, playing, and being together to create lasting memories you’ll cherish for a lifetime.

CHRISTMAS BAKING SESSION
Do you enjoy baking? These sessions are all about festive fun and making just a little bit of mess along the way! I’ll have a cosy kitchen set-up with dough and cutters, where you’ll mix up some “pretend” batter, roll out pre-made dough, sprinkle icing sugar for that magical Christmas look, and cut out your cookies. We might even finish by sharing a pretend hot chocolate at the bench to toast your baking success.
Please note: As much as I’d love to bake and decorate real cookies together, time won’t allow for it. These sessions are designed as a playful set-up focusing on the preparation stage, which also gives the most variety for your gallery. I recommend these sessions for children aged 2+ so they can follow directions and get the most enjoyment from the experience.
FAMILY PHOTO UPDATE
If a Christmas theme isn’t your thing and you simply want some beautiful, updated family photos, this is the perfect option for you.
You’ll get to enjoy the gorgeous interior, think cosy snuggles on the couch, playful moments jumping on the bed and, if the weather allows, the stunning garden area too. The home has a warm, inviting vibe that’s perfect for relaxed, authentic portraits.
These sessions are all about connection, soaking each other up, sharing cuddles, and having fun together. I’ll have toys and books on hand to encourage genuine moments, but the real magic happens when you simply relax and enjoy each other’s company.
A SUBTLE TOUCH OF CHRISTMAS
It’s that time of year to slip into those matching Christmas outfits, soak up the sparkle, and have some festive fun.
As much as I adore Christmas, these sessions will be a gentle nod to the season festive but not over the top. I’ll have a cosy space set up in the main living area with Christmas attire, a tree, and decorations so you can hang decorations, relax, and simply enjoy being together.
There will also be Christmas books and games to play, and you’re welcome to bring a small gift for your child to open so we can capture their genuine reaction.
You are also welcome to split the time (just let me know before the day) and have some non-Christmas photos so you can also get some updated, non-festive family shots.

A Christmas mini session is a 20 minute session offered the weekend of 7th & 8th November. It with a set location and timeframe. Minis are designed to be efficient and streamlined while still delivering professional, beautiful, and thoughtfully edited images.

Mini sessions are shorter than usual and faster paced. They are held at a pre determined location. Often include a smaller, curated gallery. Full sessions allow more time and preparation on the day and beforehand. The session as more personable and a wider variety of images.

Mini sessions are a great option if you want updated photos, seasonal images, or professional portraits without the time commitment of a full session. They’re especially popular for families with young children and returning clients.

Mini sessions are for immediate family only. They are great for motherhood or fatherhood sessions, couples and maternity.
Mini sessions are not for newborns, babies are able to attend but they are family photos. -
Yes, you can purchase extra images that were not included in the initial package. They can be purchased for $10 each or upgrade to the full gallery for $200

Captains cottage will have a similar feel, a Christmas tree will be set ups near the fire place, Christmas baking in the kitchen dinning area and then the bedroom, living room and outdoor area including the beautiful window frames will be available for other less Christmas themed photos
